After designing a new customer-facing side of BLAST called Borrower Portal, my team applied similar visuals to redesign the B2B side of BLAST that bankers use.

  • Challenge: To unify a 120 webpage commercial lending platform to have visual appeal and practical ease of use. BLAST was developed for internal use by BAFS from 2014 to 2020. To market BLAST for external use, the platform needed a unified design system, visual coherence, and web design best practices.

  • Process: Three year project to redesign while continuously improving the platform for our end users. After designing a new customer-facing side of BLAST called Borrower Portal, my team applied similar visuals to redesign the B2B side of BLAST that bankers use. In conversation with stakeholder groups, I documented user behavior on the platform. I worked with stakeholders and end users for validation and approvals.

  • Outcome: Our team built and implemented a design system that documented decisions for consistency across a wide array of layouts. After gaining consensus on our core layouts with unified headers, side navigation, and menu system, the team redesigned all the pages.
